Havasu Falls, Little Navajo Falls

Yesterday's hike sure was grueling for a number for reasons.
1.... It was super hot!
2... It was 20miles or 32kms
3.. We had no preparation for something like this
But we are on a time Schedule to be in Orlando and have alot to see along the way. If we had more time we would have stayed and camped a few days, but we just wanted to see these amazing falls, in a Desert Oasis, Deep in the Grand Canyon.
So we hit the trail at 8am, down the Switch backs and entering the valley below, It feels like you are on Mars or another planet. With the massive rock walls surrounding you and Canyons within Canyons.
The villagers use pack horses to transport their supplies to the village as well as peoples camping gear should they choose, so there are always horses running in and out of the Canyon and dodging them can be quite the challenge in the narrows.
At the end of the Canyon it opens up into a massive field of green trees and the clearest spring water river running through the little village. ( this is the water that feeds the 4 Water falls)
When you get to the water falls it takes your breath away, the water is a deep, light blue and you instantly want to jump in and swim up to the falls..... or maybe that's just us ( relaxing and swimming in the pools was heavenly - see previous posts for water fall pictures)
On the way back is where things start to get tough..
6 hours to go... it's all up hill from here and your legs are already tired...
But you push forward, Step by step into the Canyon you go, dodging the pack horses.
You can feel the blisters on your feet, your knees, back, ankles are aching, but you keep pushing forward. Step by step.
Your half way back and you are exhausted, the some of the blisters have popped and you are getting sharp pains in your heels and you are limping, trying to step at exactly the right angle where you feel the very least pain.
You keep pushing forward, Step by step.
You take a water break and lay down on the gravel/rocky ground and it feels more comfortable than the mattress you sleep on, and you want to give up, but there is no way you are sleeping in the Canyon and it has been dark for about 30 minutes now. Keep pushing.... You get up and start walking.
You hit the switch backs and know that you are about 30 minutes from laying down, you get a second wind and push up the steep hill out of the canyons, walking like a Zombie from the walking dead.
You make it to the top!! What an experience.. What a day.... What a challenge...
It was more than worth it..
You can literally apply this to anything in life.. You are powerful beyond belief, never give up! keep pushing forward... day by day... step by step..
